September 22 update: The performance fix is deployed, and Cachix is working through the backlog. Some requests may still be delayed while the backlog clears. We are monitoring recovery.
The issue affected our backend infrastructure in Northern Virginia, eastern United States, and could affect customers in other regions. Upload completion requests were holding database connections while waiting for object storage, leaving too few connections available for other requests.
We will post another update once the backlog has cleared.
